Petals of Light OK did not begin with a business plan or a boardroom. It began with a calling that refused to be ignored — and two founders who looked at a room full of discarded wedding flowers and then thought of every person across Oklahoma City who had not seen a single fresh bloom in weeks. That moment became this mission. And this mission is still growing.

The Mission in Motion
Over 700 arrangements have left our hands and found their way into the hands of someone who needed them. Not shipped. Not dropped off. Personally delivered — by volunteers who loaded up their cars, drove across Oklahoma City, walked through a door, and watched what happens when something beautiful arrives unexpectedly in a room that needed it. Over 9 care facilities across the greater OKC metro are now on our delivery list — memory care facilities, nursing homes, veterans' homes, women's shelters, transitional housing, and cancer treatment centers whose residents and patients receive fresh hand-tied arrangements completely free of charge because someone chose to let their flowers mean something more.
And behind every single one of those deliveries is a community of people who said yes.
A bride who decided her centerpieces deserved a second chapter. A florist who passed their leftover stems forward instead of sweeping them off the floor. A venue coordinator who asked one simple question before the last guest went home. A donor who gave quietly and consistently because they believed in what was happening here. A volunteer who showed up on a Saturday morning with willing hands and stayed because the mission got into their heart and would not leave. A care facility that opened its door and watched its residents reach out for something beautiful for the first time in weeks.
This is what 700 arrangements actually looks like. This is what 9 care facilities actually means. This is what a growing volunteer family actually does — week after week, delivery after delivery, bloom after bloom — across a city that is slowly discovering that beauty belongs to everyone.
